June 9 - 12, 70's. Fun things such as tye-dye shirts and glass coasters.

June 16-19, Under the Sea. Make "Bubble" plates.  Really enjoyed by kids last year.

June 23-26, Favorite Things. All about the kids' favorite things, whether it be their pet dog or rocket ships!

July 7-10, Wild WILD West. Cowboys and Indians

July 14-17, Mexican Fiesta. Kids will be helping to make their own lunch

July 21-24, Luau. This week will be fun, games, and crafts.  Glass, clay and many other things!

July 28-31, Hollywood. This was the most popular week last summer.  The kids loved the skits & crafts!

The Hickory Museum of Art offers a summer of fun in the museum galleries.  Visit and explore the exhibitions currently on display.

June 20 - 29 - Hickory Community Theatre
"LOVE LETTERS"

    The Hickory Community Theatre has announced the cast of the upcoming Senior Theatre troupe's production of the play "Love Letters" by A.R. Gurney, opening Friday, June 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber performance space at HCT.
    "Love Letters" is a bittersweet romantic comedy, comprised of letters exchanged over a lifetime between two people, Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, who gre up together, went their separate ways and continue to share confidences.  Their correspondence leads to a bittersweet ending.
    Two casts alternate performances over the run of the show.  Actors Jerry L. Keys and Brian Stone are cast as Andrew; actresses Joan A. Pope and Ann Smith share the role of Melissa.
    Under the direction of Rose Goodrich, evening performances are Fridays and Saturdays, June 20, 21, 27, and 28 at 7:30 p.m.  There are two Sunday matinees, June 22 and 29 at 2:20 p.m.  All seats are $10.
    "Love Letters" is produced by Abingdon Glen Village and Abernethy Laurels.  HCT is a Funded Affiliate of the United Arts Council of Catawba County.
