Young artists can choose from over 20 art camp themes including:
Museum Sleuth: Campers begin the day deciphering clues that lead

The art project for the day is based on what the students uncover:
wacky folk art, unusual faces, 3-D art, clay and more!
Lights - Camera - Action!: Back by popular demand, campers in
this drama camp will make their own music video or short play.
Students will create the scenery, props and imaginative costumes.
Extreme Constructions: In the Southern tradition, students will
try their hand at the potter's wheel to make a bowl or cup and
then add a face so it can be glazed and fired. Other projects
include using simple techniques to paint on wood, and block printing
on fabric and paper.

The Hickory Museum of Art is happy to announce a roster of two
and four day classes that will appeal to teenagers in middle
and high school. Sessions of Teen Summer Follies begin the week
of June 29 and run through the week of August 17. Classes run
